Impact Christian Church https://www.impactfranklin.com

“Accept one another, then, just as Christ a accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.”

Romans 15:7

Accepting and Abiding

“Accept” Means to receive someone into your life and to see them as valuable

…the word that Jesus most used with his disciples is this word meno, it means “abide.”

Key Scriptures Supporting This:

Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”31 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

Luke 5:29-31

“Accept one another, then, just as Christ Jesus accepted you, in order that you might bring praise to God.”

Romans 15:7

“God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

Romans 5:8

“This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: Christ Jesus came into the world to save
sinners.”

1 Timothy 1:15

“On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.”

John 8:37

You are accepted. Will you accept? (abide, come along side of)

Look at people as a gift of God

  1. Is there somebody right now, that God has
planted in your life that is a gift from the
    Father?
  2. Will you receive them?
  3. Will you help them discover their value ?
