Do you want what Jesus wants for you?
Or, do you want Jesus to want what you want ?
1. Let Go of being in charge
- “Let go, and know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth.” Psalm 46:10
- “If a person’s thinking is controlled by his sinful self, then there is death. But if his thinking is controlled by the Spirit, then there is life and peace.” Rom. 8:6
2. Finding contentment, no matter where you are
- I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Phil. 4:11-13
- “Surrender yourself to the Lord, and wait patiently for him.” Ps. 37:7
3. Laying my plans down every day

- “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.” 1 John 3:16 (NIV)
- “…Give yourselves to God… surrender your whole being to him to be used for righteous purposes.” Rom. 6:13
- “God will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.” Matt. 6:33
4. Giving God tomorrow-Today
- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Prov. 3:5-6
- Jesus: “…You must give up everything you have to be my follower.” Luke 14:33
