Message From John to Us Today
Hope fills you up when you anchor your life to Jesus.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:1-4
No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. John 1:18
Hope fills you up when you anchor your life to the cross
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” John 1:17
When you’re not anchored to the cross
If you don’t really anchor your life to the cross, you’re going to minimize sin.
- Truth of the cross: the cross is the reality that your sin is an enormous deal.
- Truth: Because of the cross, your sin is gone.
How to anchor in on this:
“I know my sins are a big deal. God ,I know, I confess that your ways are better.”
Hope fills you up when you anchor your
life to the resurrection.
Praise be to God the and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
