Why Did Jesus Have to Die?

John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he signed a
pardon for all humanity?

• “Your faith is not in your faith… Your faith is in the rock. Jesus”
• Vs 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice. Or atonement = Jesus paid the cost.
• Somebody had to pay the penalty. That’s what Jesus did!
• Why? Because forgiveness always has a cost. (Jesus paid that cost for us)
• Forgiveness has a name, and that name is Jesus
• Why is Jesus the only way?
• Because no one else is coming for you.

Why am I having trouble forgiving me?

Answer: Because God forgives me, I don’t have to—better than that—I can’t ever forgive myself. Jesus wants to carry your guilt and Shame / He doesn’t want you to carry it.
